Flexoplast production at Trioworld Harlingen/Wieringerwerf
Flexoplast, founded in 1961, has a rich history that testifies to continuous growth and innovation. In 1998, the company underwent a significant change when it was acquired by the renowned Clondalkin group, strengthening its position in the market. In the year 2006, Flexoplast took a major step forward in sustainability by commissioning a regeneration line. This enabled Flexoplast to reuse its own industrial waste and provide a new application as Post Industrial Recycled material.
The same year, in 2006, Flexoplast achieved BRC AA certification, recognising the highest standards of food safety and quality. This marked an important milestone in the company's commitment to the highest production standards.
In the following years, Flexoplast remained at the forefront of technological advances. In 2011 and 2013, the company invested in state-of-the-art printing presses, resulting in improved capabilities and quality.
In 2015, the 5-layer extrusion line was installed, reinforcing Flexoplast's position as an innovator in the industry. In 2016, the company introduced CMYK 4-colour printing, which revolutionised the printing of full-colour packaging materials.
Significant investments were again made in the years 2017 and 2019. This time focused on upgrading printing presses and extruders. This enabled Flexoplast to keep pace with the ever-evolving demands of the market. In 2020, Flexoplast reached another milestone with the launch of a product range of PCR films, highlighting its commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.
Over the years, Flexoplast has become a leading player in the packaging industry, driven by innovation, quality and an ongoing commitment to customer satisfaction.
In the summer of 2021, Clondalkin Group sold Flexoplast to the Trioworld Group and since then Flexoplast has been part of the Consumer Packaging Division and trading under the name, Trioworld Harlingen B.V.
