I joined Trioworld in September 2022 as Public Affairs and Regulatory Director. I am really looking forward to being part of the company's ambitious goal to lead the development work in circular plastics and to push the boundaries of what is possible in polyethylene film packaging solutions together with our customers.
Before that, I worked for 27 years with business policy and sustainability issues for the plastics industry. Most recently at the industry and employer organization IKEM – Innovations and Chemical Industries. My areas have been reduced resource consumption and increased recycling, reduced littering and safe handling of chemicals. It has been both EU and national politics. I am an engineer in materials technology and have a PhD in polymer technology from KTH.
In 2020 I joined Trioworld as a Business Director for the Consumer Packaging Division. Ever since I have been responsible for sales in a number of our Product-Market Combinations, like IWS cheese, bread, tissue, hygiene and converters. I closely co-operate with my fellow Business Director Johan Schouwstra, who takes responsibility for the other PMC’s in our portfolio.
Prior to Trioworld I worked as a Sales Director in packaging and in the food industry. My first job was as an Account Manager in flexible packaging, as far back as 1986. In those days flexible packaging consisted mainly of paper and paper-aluminium laminates. Plastics were not as commonly used as today. I believe that plastics are an excellent solution for consumer packaging, as long as you take your responsibility over a sustainability agenda. And I fully support that!
